Methodology
Each row in the table is the same branded product (Heinz Baked Beans, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Kerrygold Pure Butter, etc.) sold across all four retailers, matched by brand and canonical pack size. Different retailers list slightly different product names, so we normalise pack size (4×330ml, 500g, 1L…) and key on the brand + pack to find true matches.
- Price shown: the headline shelf price as displayed to consumers, including any active promotion. Was-prices are shown struck through where applicable.
- Cheapest: the lowest effective price (Clubcard / Real Rewards / member price wins where set).
- Total basket: sum of all 20 lines at each retailer. Items the retailer doesn't stock are excluded from that retailer's total but included in others.
- Refresh cadence: full catalogue every Friday at 02:00 UTC, with promotional offers tracked daily in between.
