FAQ

Questions buyers ask before connecting the feed.

Coverage, freshness, Excel use and buying paths, answered in plain terms for commercial and analyst teams evaluating BasketWatch.

01

Which Irish supermarkets does BasketWatch cover?

All four major Irish supermarkets: Aldi Ireland, Tesco Ireland, SuperValu and Dunnes Stores. The full catalogue is refreshed every night across all four retailers.

02

How fresh is the data?

The full catalogue snapshot is rebuilt every night. Every row carries a snapshot date so customers know exactly when each price was captured.

03

Does BasketWatch capture Tesco Clubcard prices?

Yes. Tesco Clubcard, SuperValu Real Rewards and Dunnes member-only prices are captured per SKU alongside shelf price and was-price fields.

04

Can I get historical price snapshots?

Yes. Endpoints accept an on=YYYY-MM-DD parameter to return catalogues, promotions or price changes as they stood on that date.

05

Can BasketWatch data be used in Excel or Power BI?

Yes. Dashboard subscribers can connect through Power Query, load refreshable tables and reference products with formulas such as XLOOKUP and FILTER.

06

Does the Dashboard subscription include API access?

Yes. The €499/month Dashboard subscription includes unmetered direct JSON API access, and the Weekly Briefing. The Briefing is also available on its own at €199/month.

07

What is the BasketWatch Weekly Briefing?

A Gemini-synthesised grocery price intelligence briefing covering shelf inflation, promotion movement, top SKU movers and category changes.

08

How can I buy access?

Use the Weekly Briefing, the full Dashboard with direct API access, or the Apify Store for one-off bulk exports.

09

How can I track grocery prices in Ireland?

BasketWatch tracks grocery prices across Tesco, Dunnes Stores, SuperValu and Aldi every day and keeps each day as a snapshot. You can follow a single product, a brand or a whole category over time through the dashboard, a CSV export or the JSON API.

10

How do I track grocery price increases across Irish supermarkets?

Every product is re-checked daily, so BasketWatch shows grocery price increases and decreases the day after they happen, kept separate from promotions and member prices so a genuine shelf-price rise is never masked by an expiring offer.

11

Where can I find historical grocery price data for Ireland?

Every nightly snapshot is retained, building a historical grocery price record for Ireland. Add on=YYYY-MM-DD to any endpoint to see prices as they stood on a given date, or export the full price history for analysis in Excel, Power BI or your own models.
